about.
In 2018 Laura made the decision to set up The Cow Shed from her own rural hub in Mid Devon. Laura is keen to share her knowledge and expertise with independent companies that don’t have the necessity for their own in-house support.
LAURA'S experience
Laura spent 5 years working as an in-house solicitor for the Twofour Group providing business affairs, legal and compliance advice on a vast range of programming. Working in-house has provided Laura with not only a thorough understanding of the production process but also the unique ability to offer sensible day-to-day solutions without compromising the editorial integrity of a programme.
In 2018 Laura made the decision to set up The Cow Shed from her own rural hub in Mid Devon. With so many independent production companies across the country, Laura was keen to share her knowledge and expertise with those companies that don’t have the necessity for their own in-house support.
Laura now works with numerous production companies throughout the UK supporting them with their ongoing business affairs and compliance needs. Laura’s experience spans across all types of factual and entertainment programming for a vast array of commissioners, broadcasters and distributors both within the UK and internationally.
Working remotely and flexibly allows Laura to integrate with production teams as much or as little as needed. From ad hoc advice to regular external ‘in-house’ assistance, the level of support offered can be adapted entirely to the client’s requirements.
Living on the family’s beef and arable farm with her husband and two children, Laura spends her spare time walking her two Labradors, horse riding, open water swimming and helping out with the odd farm related activity. In addition, Laura is a member of the Royal Television Society and Vice-Chair of Governors for a federation of primary schools within Devon.
